Artist Biography:
Anselm Reyle (German, b. 1970) is one of the pre-eminent German contemporary painters. Reyle's work freely samples motifs in art history, referencing abstraction, minimalism, arte povera, neo-geo, and collage by way of tinted foil. Reyle continues adding jewels to an impressive exhibition list, including solo and group shows at Gagosian, the Modern Institute in Glasgow, Kunsthalle Zurich, Gavin Brown's Enterprise, the Tate Modern, and the Palazzo Grassi, Venice.

About the Work:
Untitled (Foil) is considered part of Reyle's definitive styles. The monochromatic purple foil grabs the light and dances through the composed and applied material. Encased in a clear plexi-frame, Reyle's work offers a new unique perceptive of the very essence of pop-art and modernistic traditions, by adopting and twisting, Reyle turns Yves Klein’s monochromes into outrageous monumental paintings. A coup for any collection!

Market Information:
Anselm Reyle is believed by many to be the legitimate successor to Gerhard Richter. Reyle is able to employ a range of media and create a work of impeccable and thought provoking nature. Most recently, he has been anointed by the renowned Gagosian Gallery to be part of their pantheon of artists. A word you won't see with either Gagosian or Reyle is bargain. The ArtCycle team isn't aware of any original pictures of this size offered for under $100,000 - except at ArtCycle.
